He really rarely talk about his family ne ~ Feel he have a bit like Tsukasa….
Most of what I know from his parents, who live in the Ikekuburo district of Tokyo, is that they are even more reserved than Jun himself and that his family is not one who will talk much. Their main hobby, at least while Jun was living at home, was to play solitaire with the numerous computers the Matsumotos have. I think that his famous older sister moved out of the house about two to three years ago. Jun moved out sometime in late 2006 early 2007 and bought an apartment near what’s considered the city center with money lent by JE. Funnily enough, it seems like Shun Oguri has also bought an apartment in the same block so that the two can see each other frequently.
Also, it seems like when Jun was beginning to be famous as a junior, his sister stopped bringing friends home or would not ask Jun for autographs when people asked her to ask him so that little Jun wouldn’t be bothered by all of it. Later on she started bringing people home again but Jun would lock himself in his room to stay out of the way.
Unlike Ohno’s mum though, Jun’s mother rarely left him food ready for when he got home from work so Jun would only eat before going to bed if he found something edible in the kitchen. If he found nothing, he’d just go to bed.
Jun also said that his parents rarely come to his concerts/plays or watch his movies/dramas and, if they do, they won’t comment on them. He said that he was cool with it and if he needed an opinion, he would ask his friends.
That’s, in a nutshell, all I know about the Matsumoto family. Like I said, they are very, very reserved and you need to keep your eyes peeled in order to hear or read Jun talking freely about them…
